Have you ever experienced Writer’s Block? Probably, I will hear lot of “YES” response for this. Well, who can understand this better than a writer himself/herself?

“WRITING”- it is more of a passion than a profession. You can never compare it with a 9 to 5 office job. Be it blogging, article writing, content writing or book writing – nothing can be easily defined in a boundary of time and deadlines. Ideas start pouring in our brain all of a sudden, our creativity energizes and our pen gears up with a wonderful pace. It continues and we enjoy the journey. But, sometimes the journey comes to an unexpected “HALT”. Exactly in a same manner as your speeding car comes to a halt due to puncture or breakdown. And worst case is you don’t have a mechanic to set you back on journey. Most of the times, you keep struggling trying to find out, why there is a sudden black-out?

Where are all your ideas and thoughts? The more you think, the worse it gets. Writing is not something that can be done forcefully. It moves on at its own pace, at its own time, in its own way. And this changes as seasons change. There is a time when all circumstances are in your favor. But, then suddenly you may notice a change. Time changes abruptly, blocking all your writing skills – A WRITER’S BLOCK. It is really disappointing and depressing at times. Especially, when it continues for a longer duration. For someone who loves writing, this “block” is equivalent to starvation. It may sound funny to those who do not write. I hope my writer friends here, will surely understand the concern. You start feeling useless all of a sudden. You do your best efforts to keep yourself back on track – changing surroundings, changing topics, changing writing patterns, reading , interacting and what not.

This is seriously awful experience and scary too. This is what I am facing for quite a long time and was worried about. However, as I searched more on it, I got to know it’s not just “ME”. Almost everyone faces this at some point of time. People adopt different ways to deal with it and this is what I learnt from them. Do not “RUN” from it, instead learn to “OVERCOME” it. With more than 10 half-written topics, I was totally confused. I start every topic, with a new zeal & then I see its not taking a proper shape. I give up, take a break, relax and start afresh on a new topic. Months have passed with this exercise, and it’s driving me crazy now. There is nothing worse than loosing all hope. So, today again I stood up, to fight against my “Block”. “YES” – nothing is impossible, nothing is permanent & nothing is difficult.

I have to get away of my fears, I have to get away of my “WRITER’S BLOCK”.

So, before starting my half-left topics, I felt why not, I shall start with my fear first. I am here writing about this “WRITER’S BLOCK” and I would love to have your experiences, your guidance, and your ways of dealing with it.

It’s always easy to walk on a smooth road,

Challenge is to walk on a rocky road.

It’s always easy to drive a perfect car

Challenge is to fix an unfit car for driving.

It’s always easy to enjoy autumn season,

Challenge is to enjoy the chills & the burns too.

It’s always easy to do your best in favorable circumstances,

Challenge is to do your best in unfavorable times too.

It’s always easy to run away from difficulties,

Challenge is to stand strong & face them.

It’s always easy to climb up to peak.

Challenge is to stay there without falling.

It’s always easy to welcome success,

Challenge is to welcome failures

And be confident that

Beyond them lies your success.

And the biggest challenge is,

Today, I am taking my Writer’s Block as a challenge, and I am confident that I will be able to overcome it with my faith, confidence, determination and will power.

“Oh GOD..!! I am fed up of waiting now. How long I need to wait?

Are you listening to me?

Why am I supposed to wait so long?

Why can’t things happen fast, on time & the way I want?”

Waiting – I think no one on this earth has escaped this experience of waiting. There are so many forms of waiting & so many ways of reacting to these.

The word gains significance w.r.t. time frame allotted by us. It can be based on how long it takes or how fast we want it to happen.

Waiting for few things is just natural & obvious. For instance, waiting for rain, waiting for spring, waiting for day, waiting for night or waiting for weekend. This is self created wait, just because we are longing to see the change for a particular reason. These are all pre-defined things no matter how impatiently we wait & these will happen for sure no matter we want to see that change or not. I would term this category as “ILLOGICAL WAIT”.

Then comes, routine life waiting. This one is based on punctuality, crowd, and unavoidable resistances. Waiting for bus/train, waiting in a queue, waiting for someone. This is completely unavoidable most of the times and is the most irritating one. You rarely know how long you need to wait. Some people adjust themselves to these and try to handle the situation calmly while others keep cursing the situation & the system. These are all momentary waits that distracts/ disturbs us for a while but end up soon. I would term this category as “IRRITATING WAIT”.

And then comes, the most difficult category that is totally based on our desires and expectations. This form of waiting is undefined, unpredictable, without any boundaries / time frame. At times, it relies just on imagination & belief and at times it is based on realistic goals. How well we can cope with these actually defines how patient and adaptable we are to the current situation. At times, we have the illusion of getting nearer to our target & then we realize, it’s still the same distance away.

We either keep moving with belief, with courage, with patience. I would term this category as “REASONABLE WAIT”,

Or, we get panicked, irritated, frustrated & just give up. I would term this category as “FRUSTATING WAIT”.

It’s necessary to set some goals & targets to keep yourself moving & growing. It’s inevitable to have desires & expectations. To achieve these we obviously, make some plan, do some efforts & eagerly start waiting for results. Sometimes, things flow the way we want but not always. This is where we need to understand the role of GOD, our destiny & our fate.

“Do the actions but don’t have desire for fruitful results.”

Leave those to the will of GOD, and keep moving enjoying your present.

Always remember, if you keep worrying for the future you may end up ruining your present. Learn to live the present and plan the future but never get so busy planning it that you forget living your present.

Uttrakhand Floods – – – – Is GOD Angry?

    BEFORE     —-

    AFTER     —-

flood hit

Uttrakhand Floods – The heart-breaking, pathetic picture painted by these floods have left most of the people shaken & terrified.

Kedarnath & Badrinath – One of the most sacred place for Hindus, the place where devotees go with the feeling of forgiveness for their sins & mistakes, with the feeling of thanking GOD for the life HE gave, with the feeling of devoting themselves to GOD’s service, with the feeling of giving honor & respect to Almighty GOD.

Why… Why this anger on GOD’s own devotees?

Why… Why this happened at a place where people visit so that their lives become smooth & happy?

Why… Why even innocent children (who are believed to be pure & free of sins)?

Why… Why the whole families got swept away?

Why… Why so many are left…waiting for their parents, children, brother, sister? Why…Why are they deprived of performing even their last rituals?

Those who have escaped…say…its Almighty GOD who saved them, they have developed a strong belief in HIM.

But, those who lost their near & dear ones… can they accept it easily thinking it the wish of GOD?

We cannot think, all those lost had done some sin. We cannot think, dying at a sacred place will give them “MOKSHA” (Freedom from birth, re-birth cycle). It’s a huge mass of people that is affected and it is difficult to think all of them saw this day for the reasons stated above.

Then what was it? Was it destiny? India has best of Astrologers, but then why didn’t anyone predict such thing, if it was destined to happen?

GOD is always said to be kind, to do all for good, but how to find positive in this situation?

There are natural calamities, earthquakes, floods, cyclones – and there are innocent people who die in these. Even those are hard to accept.

But, when it happens at one of the most sacred place, it becomes even more difficult to accept & understand.

What message HE want to leave with this?

Does HE want to remind us that it is HE who controls this world?

Does HE got angry with the business done on HIS name?

Does HE got angry with the over- enhancement of roads, helicopters, shops, hotels?

Does HE got angry because HIS peace is disrupted?

It is good to be GOD Fearing, to do all our deeds keeping in mind that HE sees us all.

But, it doesn’t seem to be fair to live in terror. People are so terrorized; they are having sleepless nights & bad dreams. It’s a pathetic situation even for those who survived.

GOD… Please….Please forgive us for all our sins.

Please show us the right path.

Please give peace to the affected families.

Please help in rescue of remaining victims.

Please give strength & courage to face all this.

Please be KIND.. !!

Happy FATHER’S Day… !!

Happy Fathers Day type for card or ad.

Father’s day – A special day for the most special person. For every child this word holds a special feeling of support, guidance, love & care.

All of us have different opinion & perspective & on this occasion of Father’s day , it would be great to share & discuss our thoughts.

Father- what does he means to you?

He has always been special & he will always be special. On this special day..me & my sister dedicate this blog to our dear father.. who has always made us feel like Princess..!! We are really blessed ..!!

He is the one who teaches us how to walk, how to run & how to live in this world. When Mom teaches us about emotions, sentiments & feelings, Father teaches us about practicality & reality. He gives us a vision to differentiate between right & wrong. He guides us on how to face this world, how to accept the truth, how to cope up with problems & how to stay strong. He seems to be tough but is soft actually; he seems to be practical but is emotional too.

Love you Papa… !! May GOD bless you & make your life happy, healthy & joyful..!!

father day

And here is more on Father’s Day by my sweet Sis:

http://ikebanaofnr.wordpress.com/2010/06/20/fathers-day/  – By NUPUR RASTOGI

Well, this is about relationship between GOD & ME. I was just thinking of various relationships we are bonded with.

The most unique of them all is the relation between GOD & ME. To discuss about its uniqueness, let me first elaborate on all other relations.

What we expect normally in any sort of relation?

–          The other person shall respect the relation the way I do.

–          The other person shall express it the way I do.

–          The other person shall accept it the way I do.

–          The other person shall talk, think, act & feel the way I do.

But, all of us are unique and have a different pattern to live life. We think different, we act different, and we feel different. There are some wise people who think beyond these lines and instead of binding by their own set of rules they believe in letting the other person stay free. There are no thumb rules for expressions and feelings. There are instances where people may not appear the way you want, but that does not means they don’t respect the relation. It is just that their ways are different.

For instance, there are children who stand by their parents & assure them they are with them at times of need. They give the commitment. But, there are some, who do not commit anything but are always there when required. So, path is different but end result is same. In both cases, parents are getting attention and support they need.

At times people fail to accept these differences and this is where conflicts arise. Now, before starting these conflicts just spend some time observing your relation with GOD.

–          We respect HIM

–          We offer our prayers to HIM

–          We talk to HIM

–          We show our dedication, commitment, trust & belief in HIM.

But, have you seen HIM? Have you got HIS response in the same pattern? Does HE listens and talks to you? Does HE show same dedication, commitment, trust & belief in you?

Answer 1: “NO”.

HE never communicates back. HE never responds to my answers. Without a direct dialogue between me & HIM, I am unable to decide if HE really has some relation with me or is it just an illusion?

Answer 2: “YES”.

But, HIS ways are different. I cannot see HIM but I can feel HIM. He does not respond in the same pattern but HE responds. HE listens, and answers, NOT in words, but in actions. If my feelings for HIM are true and pure, HE also responds back by trusting & believing me and giving me the best.

So, it’s all about our perception and about our faith in that particular relation. What I think is,

If the feelings are true & pure, if the destiny has decided to gift you a particular relation then time does not matter, distances does not matter.

We respect and worship GOD, and make our relation with HIM, which is without any boundaries despite of the fact that we are not able to see HIM or talk to HIM, just feel HIM. This may not happen in a day, but we all know if our feelings are pure, we can feel the experience of GOD listening to us, giving answers to us, and staying with us.

In a similar manner, if we respect and worship all other relations in this world, with true & pure feelings we can surely break all barriers and experience the divine happiness of being a blessed child, a blessed sibling, a blessed parent, a blessed spouse, a blessed cousin, a blessed uncle/aunt, a blessed friend …and the list goes on..

Happy Mother’s Day…Love you Mummy :)

mdMummy, Mumma, Mom, Mother ——- The first relationship with which a child gets bonding.

The first feeling that a child gets – The feeling of belonging,  the feeling of togetherness. The everlasting bond built on the foundation of love & faith. Mother’s love and affection for a child is beyond compare. It’s the purest relations of all.

On this occasion of Mother’s Day approaching soon, I & my sister would like to dedicate this blog to our sweet, special, wonderful, adorable Mummy.

We don’t have words to define,
We don’t have sentences to explain,
For what we have are feelings,
Which are to be expressed…
What we have is love,
Which cannot be measured…
But, you know & we know,
Child & Mother is a bond,
Where the unsaid is understood,
And, you know & we know,
How much we both LOVE YOU 🙂

Wish you all the Happiness in Life…Stay healthy & stay happy to keep your sweet daughters happy too.
